getting alone to think

he wnaders into the cnetre of the ball room that is empyt wearing a large trench coat. he summons a chair and kicks it into the corner . he takes his trenchcoat off revealing a full tuxedo suit. he puts his hands in his pockets and sighs before sitting on the chair - and jacket - and places his index finger and thumb on the bridge of his nose and rubs it a bit before tretracting his hand and leaning forward hands resting against his knees holding eachother

he stands up and walks towards the Jukebox and begins idly flicking through the music playing some for roughly 30 seconds before moving on. he sighs and looks towards the door wishing someone, anyone would walk in to replace the silence...the silence that reminds him of the void in his heart. the void only one person he knows of can fill the void

he shakes his head and quickly dispersing the thoughts he was making in his head, he was not about to think that Ava could take Lea's place...Ava is just a friend, a very good friend albeit

"You rang?" Ava appeared by the door in a movie-entrance kind of way. Just standing there, leaning against the door with one ankle crossed over the other, and her arms folded. She knew that listening in on people's thoughts was intrudind, but she told Baen that all he had to do was think about her, and she'd be there. She couldn't go back on her word.

Her radient smile lit up her face and her eyes as she walked towards her friend. The one that always seemed to be there at the right moments... the one who was there at this moment. 'No. Shut up, mind. He's just a friend.' It seemed like more and more frequently, that sentence was being repeated in her thoughts.

he chuckled inside his own head
cliche Ava...very Cliche
he looked himself up and down and grimaced, why did he have to be wearing a tux now, he only hoped he didn't look to rediculous
"i did? sorry, wrong number" he said jokingly, grnning and standing up the chair disappearing in a green wisp of smoke his jacket flying onto him, he then walks up to herstill grinning he looks to the juke box and gets an idea, he turns to face Ava again
"feel like a dance?"

Ava still held her smile, and look Baen in the eyes with a giggle.
"I'd love to."
She took his hand in her own, "Pick a song, sir."
"And you look fine. It's me who is dressed odd for this, now." She examined her clothing. Typical jeans and a t-shirt. Shaking her head, Ava snapped, and a knee-length black dress appeared on her body. "There we go!" She mused.

he looks her up and down and smiles at her slightly
"wow...beautiful...if i may say so that is your highness..."
he looks at the juke box unsure what song to put on so he closes his eyes and fires a lone, crackling beam of green energy into the music machine letting it play a few randomly

he opens his eyes as a songcomes on immediately recognising the three main beats and counting along in his head
1,2,3...1,2,3...
oh god...not the waltz...how cliche...
he looks apologetically to Ava hoping she doesn't mind the song
"ummmi didn't choose it...it came up from a random selection honest"

Ava giggled lightly. "Thank you." she said. She listened to the song, "Riigghtt." She joked, leading him to the middle of the dance floor, and taking his other hand to pull herself closer to him. She began to lead subconsciously. It had always been her nature to take control of things... apparently that wasn't an exception to dancing.

normally he woudl have said that he should be leading but didnt say anything, the last time he danced this was over 2 centuries ago, he wasn't going to complain in case his memory failed him at a crucial moment if there was any in the dance

he looked at her admiring her beauty before looking forward checkign his menta barriers again frowning internally to find the down and not raising

from his palm a small black bead of energy leaves his palm and flies away

Ava looked at Baen curiously. She hadn't known he had thought such things about her. "What?" She questioned his admiring look. Even though she knew what he was thinking, she still decided to ask, for sake of conversation.

he sighs slightly and looks at her grinning
"nothing, besides i know you know already and that is embarrasing enough as it is, please dont make me say it aloud"
he looks forward not having noticed but the two seem to be closer to eachother as his head rests directly abover her collarbone now

Ava played dumb. "What are you talking about? I dont know anything..." She kept dancing, also noticing the lack of space between them. She wondered if she should step back, but decided against it. She didnt mind being so close, and he didnt seem to either...

his head sidles to the right a bit looking at her from the corner of his eyes and sighs before looking forward

"Why are you sighing? And not answering my question..."
Ava stopped dncing, just holding onto Baen's hands amd staying close to him.

he closes his eyes and speaks teh owrds barely leaving his lips louder than a whispers but picking up in volume
"you're absolutely beautiful"

he closes his eyes and opens them again slowly his dark blue eyes looming into her own

Ava smiled. Even though she had head him think it, it was still unexpected. "You're not so bad yourself..." She said, looking him in the eyes, and beginning to dance again. There was a sensational feeling that started in h stomach and moved up to her chest. It felt nice, and like it needed to happen. Thoughts filled her mind and all of them included Baen in some way. 'No. Shut up, stupid brain. Stop!' She ordered herself.

"no brain...don't shut up"
he grins at her letting her know he heard them all
"that third one is...a bit graphic..."
he leans down and kisses her before pullingback as the dance starts again

Ava laughed, kissing him back.
"I cant help what my mind thinks..."

he gives a small chuckle before smiling at her
"was i complaining?"

Ava giggled, looking Baen in the eyes with an irristable smile.
"I guess not..."
